When a routine space mission goes awry after a US rocket inexplicably disappears while in orbit, the Americans threaten retaliation on the suspected Soviets. But after a British tracking station identifies what is possibly the US Rocket off the coast of Japan, the US send secret agent 007 to investigate. Tension mounts when just a few days after the American loss, a Soviet space craft disappears in much the same way, turning the Soviet's enraged attention in the direction of the Americans. Can Bond solve the case before WW III begins?
