When an aimless Englishman discovers he has a small inheritance located on a remote Greek island, he leaves his homeland to claim his prize. Along the way he meets Zorba, an enthusiastic Greek with a zeal for life who shows the Englishman all the natural pleasures of Greece. In the process the Englishman finds himself reevaluating his life priorities.

The cast includes: Alan Bates, Irene Papas, Anthony Quinn, Lila Kedrova, Anna Kyriakou, Sotiris Moustakas, and Eleni Anousaki.
