THE TERMINATOR (1984)
The classic futuristic thriller that foresees a technology-intrinsic apocalypse. Future (2029 A.D.) corrupt computer systems company, Skynet, is fighting a losing war against the humans who built, and are now desperately trying to terminate it. But before they succeed, Skynet sends a Terminator, a deadly cyborg, back in time, 1984, to kill Sarah Connor, the alleged mother of "prophet-to-be," AKA resistance leader, John Connor. While the Terminator goes in search of Sarah, the humans send their strongest soldier, Kyle Reese, back in time to stop him. While a troubled Sarah, whose life is anything but simple, does her best to evade the terminator, she meets up with Reese, and together the two flee the Terminator's deadly pursuit. But the question remains, will Sarah survive the Terminator’s pursuits, and, when and with whom will she father the imperative resistance child, John, the boy on who's shoulders the fate of humans rests?
