SISTER ACT (1992)

Delores Van Cartier is a struggling Reno casino lounge singer who, after witnessing her mobster boyfriend kill an employer, is forced to flee to a convent where, with the help of the FBI, she is takes the alias "Sister Mary Clarence." Quickly befirending Sister Mry Robert, Sister Mary Lazarus, and Sister Mary Patrick, Dolores is anything but becoming to a skeptical Mother Superior, who continually catches her violating the convent's moral codes, often with other nuns following in suit. Before Dolores can wreak total havoc on the convent, however, Mother Superior assigns her to head the local church choir, hoping that her vocal skills can work to save the church from certain doom. As Dolores puts hers and her Sisters' pipes to the test, Mother Superior anxiously awaits for the pews to once more fill up with expectant guests as in the days of old.

The cast includes: Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith, Kathy Najimy, and Harvey Keitel.
