PLOT SUMMARY...
On an alien world Kirk gets conked on the head, suffers amnesia, and settles down with an alien woman, while the Enterprise travels off to solve a crisis.

This episode features a fascinating look at Kirk, amnesia victim, free of the burden of starship command, living a simple live on an alien world with a native woman. Sabrina Scharf ("The Man from U.N.C.L.E.") is beautiful and sympathetic as Miramanee, Kirk's alien girlfriend. The FX scenes involving the Enterprise and a huge asteroid are very effective.

SYNOPSIS...
Kirk and gang investigate a primitive world. Inside an alien building, Kirk bumps his head. Unable to find Kirk, the others exit.

Meanwhile, an asteroid is on a collision course with the alien world. On the Enterprise, Spock and others attempt to deal with the crisis. On the planet's surface Kirk, suffering from amnesia, falls in love and fathers a child.

The Enterprise returns to the planet. Kirk is found, and the asteroid diverted. Kirk's "wife" dies.
