PLOT SUMMARY...
Kirk, surgically altered to resemble a Romulan, goes on a mission to steal a cloaking device.

QUICK SCAN...
This episode features Captain Kirk, with slanted eyebrows and pointed ears, passing himself off as a Romulan. He looks kind of cute. Scene depicting Romulan manned Klingon battle cruisers, surrounding the Enterprise in space, are cool. Joanne Linville ("Gunsmoke") delivers a vivid performance as a Romulan Commander romanced by Mr. Spock.

SYNOPSIS...
Kirk takes the Enterprise into Romulan space. He is apparently killed by Spock.

Spock beams aboard a Romulan vessel and romances the female commander. Meantime, Kirk, surgically altered to resemble a Romulan, secretly beams aboard the same Romulan ship.

Kirk steals the Cloaking Device, beaming back to the Enterprise. Spock concludes his Vulcan hand sex, leaving for the Enterprise as well. The Enterprise splits.
