PLOT SUMMARY...
The Enterprise visits a planet inhabited only by children and the crew contract the same disease which killed the planet's parents.

QUICK SCAN...
This episode features a revelation of Yeoman Rand's true feelings for Captain Kirk. Film fans may get a kick out of seeing Michael J. Pollard ("Tango and Cash") and Kim Darby ("True Grit") in early television roles. This episode makes good use of Paramount's back lot, especially their city street exteriors.

SYNOPSIS...
The Enterprise goes into orbit around a planet that strongly resembles Earth. Beaming down, Kirk and company discover that there are no adults on the planet, only children.

It turns out that the planet's adults tried to create a vaccine to prevent aging. The result was a disease that killed all the adults. Soon after beaming down, Kirk and the rest of the landing party, (except for Spock) contract the same ailment. Miri, a young girl from the planet, falls for Kirk. McCoy works desperately to develop an antidote for the disease.

Kirk and the landing party are endangered by the children. McCoy perfects an antidote for the planet's disease, saving the day.
