SYNOPSIS...
When humans from a starship leave the book , "Chicago Mobs
of the 1920s" on the planet Sigma Iotia 2, the planet's
inhabitants end up building a world wide culture based on roaring
twenties gangsters.
Sometime later, when the Enterprise shows up, Kirk and crew are
quite surprised at the state of affairs. Kirk and Spock try to
deal with the locals on their terms. When that doesn't work,
Kirk and Spock outfit themselves in mobster's clothing, and spout
gangster jargon, to better communicate with the locals.
Kirk and Spocko "put the bag" on both major mobsters
and their gangs. Gangsters Krako and Oxmyx are put in charge
of the territories in Kirk's absence. Kirk makes arrangements
for a Federation representative to pick up his "piece of
the action" at a later date.
