The Enterprise agrees to transport space hippies, heading toward a mythical planet, with unexpected results.

This episode features an unforgettable "jam sesion", where Spock plays his Vulcan harp and the space hippies play their odd looking instruments. Some think this is classic Trek's worst episode; you may wish to decide for yourself. We meet an old friend of Chekov's: Irini Galliulin, played by Mary-Linda Rapelye. SYNOPSIS...
The Enterprise agrees to transport some Space Hippies. The leader is obsessed with going to a mythical planet called Eden which may not exist.

Spock empathizes with the Hippies, who are outsiders like himself. Spock hits it off with them, joining them in an informal music jam session. The Hippies take over the Enterprise setting the navigation controls to Eden. One of the Space Hippies attempts to get him to join them.

The Enterprise arrives at Eden. The leader of the Space Hippies climbs a tree, takes a bite from a poisonous apple, and dies.
