PLOT SUMMARY...
Captain Kirk's body is taken over by an ambitious female scientist.

This episode features a fascinating, virtuoso performance by William Shatner as the "possessed" Captain Kirk. "Turnabout Intruder" is the last Classic "Trek" episode aired. William Shatner fans will particularly enjoy this episode. Actress Sandra Smith ("The Interns") does a good job of playing a woman with Captain Kirk's consciousness trapped in her body.

SYNOPSIS...
Kirk beams down to the planet. A woman scientist, Dr. Janice Lester, a former lover of his, switches minds with him.

Back on the Enterprise, Lester, whose consciousness is now inside Kirk, enjoys her new role as a starship commander. Crew members begin to notice that "The Captain" is acting a bit oddly.

Janice/Kirk institutes a court-martial against Spock and others he/she are conspiring against him/her. It is determined that Kirk is not really Kirk. The mind switch takes place again, restoring the proper minds to the proper bodies.
