SYNOPSIS...
Kirk is informed that he will be taking part in war games with
other "Constitution Class" starships. A new, hi tech
computer, the M-5,will take over most of the Enterprise's controls,
its purpose to (temporarily) replace the ship's crew.
When the computer encounters a robot freighter, it decides it's
an enemy and blows it up. Kirk and the others are concerned about
this unplanned assault. Soon, the M-5 operating the Enterprises'
weapons, destroys the U.S.S. Excalibur, killing all aboard.
Scotty and others attempt to disconnect the ultimate computer,
with mixed results. Kirk convinces the computer it's illogical,
and it powers down. Spock and Scotty disconnect the M-5.
