Star Trek Review: MUDD Review:

Director Marc Daniels,' "I, MUDD," is a clever, fun Sci-Fi adventure.

Veteran character actor, Roger C. Carmel ("Hardly Working") has a lot of fun with the interplanetary con man character. Under Daniels' playful direction, Carmel brings plenty of oomph to lines like, "The kind of antiseptic galaxy these androids would run would be purgatory to me."

At it's core, this is basically, "So and so tries to take over the Enterprise in order to rule the galaxy" episode, of which there were many. The use of androids, and the entertaining personality of Harry Mudd, add spice to the formula.

A scene, where Kirk and company act "illogical" to freak out the androids, is my favorite one in the episode. Their dancing and nonsense statements are inspired silliness.

The adventures of Harry Mudd continued into the animated "trek" series. The episode, "Mudd's Passion," was one of the better of the animated series, and featured the voice of Roger C. Carmel.

"I, MUDD" should be rather watchable for most Sci-Fi viewers.
